Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
						
July 30, 2009
5:32p.m.—5:50p.m.

Town Officials Present:  Chairman: William Jax, Supervisors: Rosetta
Boyle, Steve Gillespie, & Michael H Poe.
Town Officials Absent: Dave Specht (Specht arrived at the board
meeting at 5:35p.m.)
Others Present:  Clerk/Treasurer: Betty Manson, & Town Public Works
Worker:  Dick Martin (Martin arrived at the board meeting at 5:36p.m.)
 

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:  Jax called the special board meeting to order
at 5:32p.m.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  Pledge of allegiance was recited by all
present.

VERIFICATION OF PROPER POSTING:  Manson verified that this meeting had
been properly posted at 4 locations within the Township.

DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE APPROVAL OF SECOND PLOW TRUCK WITH SNOW
EQUIPMENT:  Jax explained the need for an additional plow truck and if
purchased a second plow truck, the subdivisions could be plowed
simultaneously.  After reviewing the quotes received from Kudicks and
Rudigs,  Motion was made by Gillespie to purchase a second plow truck
from Rudig’s—a 2010 Ford 550, combined with Michaels snow plowing
equipment, the cost not to exceed $48,500.00.  This will include pipe
steps and front end bra which was not on the quote, 2nd by Poe.  Poe
stated that a resolution will be needed to be put on the August
regular Town Board meeting agenda to transfer money from the general
fund for the purchase of this truck and snow plowing equipment. 
Motion Carried.

LIQUOR OPERATOR’S LICENSES:  SARAH FORSYTHE—BUCKHORN CAFÉ:  Manson
stated that Officer Green has done the background check and has given
his approval for the operator license application that was submitted
by Sarah Forsythe—Buckhorn Café.  Motion by Poe to approve the
operator’s license that was submitted by Sarah Forsythe—Buckhorn Café,
2nd by Jax.  Motion Carried.

ADJOURN MEETING: Motion by Gillespie to adjourn the special town board
meeting at 5:50p.m., 2nd by Poe.  Motion Carried. 

Chairman Jax declared the special town board meeting adjourned.
