Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
						
March 1, 2010
5:30p.m.—5:50p.m.

Town Officials Present:  Supervisors:  Rosetta Boyle, Michael Poe,
David Specht, and Steven Gillespie.
Town Officials Absent: Chairman William Jax
Others Present:  Clerk/Treasurer: Betty Manson.

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:  In the absence of Chairman Jax, due to illness
and accordance to Ordinance 45, Supervisor Poe called the special
board meeting to order at 5:30p.m.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  Pledge of allegiance was recited by all
present.

VERIFICATION OF PROPER POSTING:  Manson verified that this meeting had
been properly posted at 3 locations within the Township.

APPROVE AGENDA IN ANY ORDER:  Poe stated that the board will follow
the agenda in the order.

CHANGE GAS COMPANIES:  Poe explained the propane gas quotes that
Chairman Jax had received.  Motion was made by Poe to accept
Roche-A-Cri for the Town of Germantown’s propane gas supplier with a
quote of $1.59/unit, contingent to no tank cost, pick up or delivery,
2nd by Gillespie.  Motion Carried.

REMOTE DEPOSIT CAPTURE:  Manson explained the remote deposit capture
from the Bank of Mauston.  Manson recommended to the board that this
would be most beneficial to the Town during tax collections.  If done
at tax time only, Bank of Mauston will waive all fees.  Motion was
made by Gillespie to have the Clerk further investigate the use of
remote deposit capture at the Bank of Mauston at tax time with no
fees, 2nd by Specht.  Motion Carried.     

APPROVE FIRE AND EMS REVISED CONTRACTS FOR NECEDAH FIRE AND EMS: 
Gillespie stated that in reviewing the Necedah Fire Contract, he noted
that there a few corrections that need to be made before the Town
Board can sign, so therefore, he asked that this agenda item be tabled
until the March 9, 2010 regular monthly board meeting.  Tabled. 

 Motion was made by Gillespie to adjourn the special town board
meeting at 5:50p.m., 2nd by Boyle.  Motion Carried. 

Supervisor Poe declared the special town board meeting adjourned.
