Public Safety Committee Meeting
						
November 28th 2011
4:30pm – 5:45pm

Town Officials Present:  Town Chairman: William Jax.  Supervisor: 
Dale Simonson, Fred Cobbs, William Bruce, Steve Gillespie.

Others Present:  Roger Bean, local ATV representative.

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:   Meeting was called to order at 4:30pm.


Roger Bean spoke about increasing ATV routes in the southern portion
of the Town.  It was acknowledged by all that since the creation of
ATV routes in the north end of the Town, there have been little to no
complaints.

Discussion took place about possible routes in the south end that
focused on pedestrian/vehicular congestion and safety.

A consensus of the committee and Mr. Bean was reached in the
designation of the following ATV route described North to South:

		
		37th Street (starting at Highway 58) to 15th Avenue
		
		15th Avenue (starting at 37th Street) to 38th Street

		38th Street (starting at 15th Avenue) to 16th Avenue

		16th Avenue (starting at 38th Street) to County Road G (Germantown
G)

		16th Avenue (starting at County Road G (Germantown G)) to 15th
Avenue

		15th Avenue (starting at the end of 16th Avenue) to 43rd Steet

		43rd Street (starting at Highway 58) to 19th Avenue


The committee will be recommending the approval and implementation of
the above ATV route to the Town Board at the regularly scheduled
December 2011 monthly meeting.

A general discussion/update took place on the design and construction
process of the proposed Public Safety Building.  An early 2012 start
date is still targeted.

A general discussion/update took place about the Germantown Medic
service.  It was noted that the 911 call rate is considerably higher
than anticipated, however the inter-facility transfer count could be
better.  Efforts are being made by both the Town and the Germantown
Medics to improve the inter-facility transfer number.
