Town of Germantown Planning Commission Meeting December 10, 2009 Present- Zoning Chairman Specht, Michael Poe, Paul Merk, Roger Bean, Jim Collis, Audrey Scholl, Zoning Administrator William Bruce Meeting called to order following the Public Hearing for changes to the Zoning Ordinance at 7:10 p.m. Zoning Chairman Specht – short meeting called to discuss changes to Zoning Ordinance. Sec. 3.09 MVP Business Center Business District. Roger Bean- 65.84 acres- should have parcel number in heading, title. Put in 3.05 heading. Administrative duties- accordance with William Bruce, Zoning Administrator, he will obtain list every six months of the renters. Michael Poe- questioned if we should use contract. Now it is on good faith, will they follow? Roger Bean- Obligate to report. If don’t then what do we do? Michael Poe- should be same as failure to comply with the Zoning Ordinance. Dave Specht- Eliminate “C”. Don’t see reason to be there. Delete “C” and change “D” to “C”. Define what MVP District is. No other comments. Roger Bean made a motion to recommend approval of changes to the Town Board with the changes noted. Second Michael Poe. Motion carried. Dave Specht- Fences- changes to Ordinance 22- add definition and require permit- definitions added and 1, 2, and 3 accessory uses. Paul Merk- comfortable and can deal with. Dave Specht- question side lot lines- detached structures. William Bruce- excluding fences in setbacks. Begin paragraph –excluding fences not less than 10 ft. Sec. 2.11- second line- “is” not “if”. Motion made by Michael Poe to recommend to the Town Board revisions for fences, Sec.2.11 of the Zoning Ordinance 22. Second Paul Merk. Motion carried. Make copies and give to the Town Board before the December meeting. Dave Specht -Next Planning Committee Meeting January 13, 2010 5:30 p.m. In the future will work on business’ in residential areas, keeping future plans consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and a generic review of the Zoning Ordinance Motion to adjourn made by Jim Collis.
