The township of Germantown is a member of CRAM (County Recycling Agreement of Municipalities). Ten townships are currently members of this agreement. Each Town member belonging to CRAM has its own Recycling Ordinance and is responsible for its enforcement in the Township. The disposal site is at the Juneau County Landfill on County Road B. CRAM users are to stop at the window to register their Town with the landfill operator each time the landfill is visited. Information on how to recycle and what is to be recycled is included in the annual tax bill. This information is also available at the Town Hall.

Be sure to register with the scale operator before unloading.
WHAT IS TO BE RECYCLED?
Recycle at no cost
- Aluminum and Al. cans
- Tin cans, clean
- Glass, clean, any color
Do not save window glass, Ceramics, china, light hulhs, or t.v tubes - Yard Waste clippings
Place in compost pile - Plastics, rinsed
Milk jugs, soda bottles, Containers #1-#2 PET symhols on the bottom.
Do not save cottage cheese, egg Cartons or syrofoam. - Newspaper, Cardboard, Magazines, other clean paper
Cartons, throw loose in special hins.
No paper towels, tissues, or wax coated items.
Small Fee charged
- Batteries, 2 cents/ pound
- Used Tires, 9 cents/pound
- Appliances, 2 cents/pound
Landfill accepts microwaves minus capacitor, hot water heaters, washers, air conditioners, dryers, stoves, furnaces and scrap metal. All refrigerators and freezers must have Freon removed by certified technician and be tagged. - Used Oil, 2 cents/pound
All oil must be in containers with screw covers, prefer milk jugs or clear 5 gallon containers. No drums.
